- Starting with version 4.0, the plugin comes in two versions — Professional edition and Home edition. The first is for professional use, especially in prepress. The second is easier to learn and use and is suited for home processing of scanned images. In relation to black and white images the both edition have the same functionality.
- The noise reduction module was separated to Noise Reduction plug-in (free with Descreen Professional edition, can also be purchased separately).

- Introduced a special adjustment for the sensitivity in the Blue channel (in Professional edition).
